KATO’S EUROPEAN DEALERS MEETED IN TUSCANY

On 14th and 15th November 2024, the annual convention of KATO’s European dealers took place in the splendid setting of the Borgo San Luigi Resort in Monteriggioni (Siena), Italy. Over one hundred conference attendees gathered to discuss the evolution of the construction machinery market in Europe and to discuss the new product strategies of our brand. All this in the presence of a delegation from the Japanese parent company KATO WORKS LTD led by the President and CEO Mr. Kimiyasu Kato.
The just mentioned meeting was also an opportunity to see first-hand the recent results obtained by the Japanese and Italian designers who created the first three new models of wheeled and tracked skid loaders, which will begin to be produced shortly in KATOIMER’s Italian factory. These are the new models called AS26R (wheeled with 638 kg of payload), AS29R (wheeled with 820 kg of payload) and AT35R (tracked with 848 kg of payload). These new skid steers will be shortly available on the European market as early as January 2025. In addition was also announced that new excavators and crawler carriers, produced by KATO in the Japanese plant in Gunma, are finally available for European market because finally complying with the recent European regulations in emissions matter.
The reference is to the new excavators HD308US-7 (with operating weight of approximately 7500 kg.), HD820-8 (with operating weight of 21100 kg. and overall width of 2870 mm.) and the HD823MR-8 (with operating weight of 23000 kg. and overall width of 2990 mm.).
The reinvigorated KATO offer on the Italian and European markets is completed by three new models of crawler carriers, also produced in the Gunma plant in Japan: the IC37-5 (3700 kg of operating load), the IC70R (operating load of 7000 kg.) and the IC100-5 (10000 kg. operating load). Crawler carriers are a type of product for which KATO’s undisputed leadership at a global level is sublimated, being able to count on extremely limited competition.
